The Trustworthy Accountability Group launches 'Project Brand Integrity' in partnership with White Bullet.

Project Brand Integrity has been designed primarily to protect European brands from association with illegal stolen content by alerting advertisers or their agencies to ads running on pirate sites in Europe.

Ads appearing on these websites are harmful to brands in two distinct ways:

  1. They waste companies' digital advertising spend.
  2. They compromise the integrity of the brand, and by extension the integrity of the agency that placed the adverts on their behalf.
Both of these parties will benefit from Project Brand Integrity.

The data supplied to Project Brand Integrity originates from White Bullet's IPI Index™ : a growing, dynamic database of IP infringing websites and advertising. White Bullet's proprietary technology continuously learns about the techniques practised by those that run and monetise IP infringing sites.

It's essential that the data comes from a dynamic source because the technology and strategies that drive IP infringing sites are continually evolving. Sites spin up and spin down rapidly, and no static list of sites is going to deal with the real-time nature of digital advertising. As soon as a list has been used to update a database, the data is already old.
